Sedona Annual Bronze Show and Sale
November 28th and 29th, 2008
We are honored to have legendary sculptor, Ken Payne join us in our much anticipated 23rd Annual Bronze Show. The Legacy of the Payne family continues with son, Vic Payne, highly acclaimed western sculptor and owner of Mountain Trails Galleries. Finally, grandson, Dustin Payne, featured in Southwest Art, as rising star in their “21 under 31 to watch” list, dazzles with his rendition of Western lifestyle bronzes. Be present when Vic Payne unveils his most recent creation! Joining Ken, Vic and Dustin is our complete roster of award winning and nationally acclaimed bronze artists: Ken Rowe, Susan Kliewer, Mark James and Michael Trcic,
All artists will be introducing their exciting new works and demonstrating their skills. Special pricing will be offered on all pre-casts by these important artists.
Enjoy live music by Native American flautist, Jesse Kalu.
A reception to honor Ken Payne, founding father of Mountain Trails Gallery will be held Friday, 3pm-8pm.

Festival of Trees
November 28-December 7
Come and celebrate the Holidays at Tlaquepaque!
A new and exciting event opens at this unique shopping complex on Friday, November 28, 2008. Area artists and galleries will have over 30 Christmas trees fully decorated in fun and exquisite ways to entice the guest of Tlaquepaque. Mountain Trails Gallery will donate an 8’ tree and a 6” tree, fully lit and laden with original paintings and artwork from our most collectable artists. Susan Kliewer, Lisa Danielle, Carolyn Hesse-Low, Betty Carr, Liam Herbert and others are donating their tiny treasures to benefit the Make A Wish Foundation. The trees will be on display accompanied with silent auction bid sheets. The viewers may visit and check their bids through 4:00 p.m. on December 7th. The proceeds from this new Holiday event will benefit the Make A Wish Foundation.

Many of which will be at our artist reception 5pm-8pm.

Don Sahli – Ovanes Berberian – Masters in Russian Impressionism
Plein aire artist, Don Sahli, apprenticed under Sergei Bongart, the famous Russian colorist. Sahli's work can be seen as traditional with old world qualities that come from his background in the Russian School of Painting, it can also be seen as modern.. Sahli's paintings are filled with the contrasts of heavy textured brushstrokes to soft fluid washes.and contemporary - on the cutting edge in terms of color, design and passion.
Born in Russian Armenia, Ovanes Berberian received academic training under the tutelage of his father, a noted artist and professor. In the summer of 1977, he immigrated to the United States. The young artist was awarded a scholarship to study with the master painter Sergei Bongart. That experience had a profound effect on Berberian, leading to his deep understanding of color relationships, hues and values,
Once you’ve filled your soul with beautiful art, fill your heart with beautiful music. Lead singers from the River of Life Tabernacle Choir will help kick off this year’s Festival of Lights with a free performance. This special concert will feature piano playing and vocals from a new CD featuring sacred hymns and holiday music.

Festival of Lights
Tlaquepaque will feature music, the lighting of 6,000 luminarias throughout the courtyards and walkways of Tlaquepaque, and a visit from Santa, 3 to 8 p.m. The River of Life Tabernacle Choir will be singing from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. |
